Valentina Marghinotti: The Winning Voice of the 2015 Ruspoli Competition

We are delighted to share the masterful performance of Valentina Marghinotti, soprano winner of the 7th Prince Francesco Maria Ruspoli International Baroque Music Competition. Recorded during the final round at Ruspoli Castle on October 3, 2015, the video features Valentina performing the aria “Io son quel gelsomino” from Antonio Vivaldi’s opera Arsilda, regina di Ponto.

Accompanied by Simone Ori on the harpsichord, this performance embodies the mission of our competition: to bring new life to the Baroque repertoire through the talent of exceptional young artists, in a setting that once inspired the greatest composers in history.
