Ruspoli Association Cultural Exhibition in Brazil
ITALY/BRAZIL MOMENT 2011-2012 – project in production
During the Italy/Brazil Year, we celebrate the history of the Ruspoli and Matarazzo families who have shaped the development and arts of the two countries.
For this, the Ruspoli Cultural Association has formed a group of renowned Brazilian and Italian curators, specialized in different areas of the arts and cultural practice. Each in their own area, they have proposed projects that aim to give new generations the opportunity to learn about a trajectory that traces the history, culture, and arts of our country and its strong relationship with Italy.
Past and present, tradition and modernity will unite in activities to provide support for reflection and research in the most diverse fields of artistic expression and knowledge and which replicate the valuable historical-cultural path established between Italy and Brazil through dialogue between artists, historians, and thinkers from these two esteemed universes.
Events of classical and popular music, visual arts and technology exhibitions, displays, documentaries, book publishing, seminars, workshops, and photographic exhibitions will be brought together, all to revitalize the relationship born between the Ruspoli & Matarazzo families with the marriage of Claudia Matarazzo and Francesco Maria Ruspoli, VIII Prince of Cerveteri, celebrated in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1923.
