Presentation of the second volume of the “Ruspoli Miscellany” series
On Sunday, February 3, 2013, on the occasion of the feast of Saint Blaise, patron of Vignanello, the II volume of the “Miscellanea Ruspoli” series was presented at Castello Ruspoli. This book collects three essays presented at the III Baroque Music Competition dedicated to Prince Francesco Maria Ruspoli, held in 2011. In that edition, in the musicology section, young scholars participated, including Chiara Pelliccia, who was the winner with her essay “Giovanni Lorenzo Lulier e la cantata da camera tra le corti di Benedetto Pamphilj e Pietro Ottoboni”.
In addition to Chiara Pelliccia’s essay, the volume collects two other interesting essays: one by the scholar Michela Berti, “Il mecenatismo dell’ambasciatore francese a Roma Paul Hippolyte de Beauviller, Duca di Saint-Aignan” and one by the Spanish scholar Josè Maria Dominguez “Diplomacia musical, mecenazgo virreinal y redes de circulacion en torno a Napoles”.
Important guests on Sunday were able to appreciate the conference held by Chiara Pelliccia, accompanied by Prof. Giorgio Monari, curator of the book and scientific manager of the musicology section during the Ruspoli Competition.
The conference was presented by the president of the Centro Studi Santa Giacinta Marescotti, Mr. Silvestro Fochetti, followed by heartfelt thanks from the hostess, Donna Giada Ruspoli.
